A ONE-year-old theatre school in Yate is already proving its worth as youngsters are picked to be the stars of stage and screen.
The Razzamataz school of dance, drama and singing was only launched last year but now has 120 members ranging from the age of four up to 18. And a handful of the aspiring actors have shown theatre bosses why they should ‘Never Forget’ them by starring in a Take That tribute show at the Bristol Hippodrome.
The group of eight students, aged between 10 and 15, formed the choir for the Back for Good show on Saturday, June 4. Despite having only two hours to practice the songs, Razzamataz principal Jodie Horton-Stanley said the youngsters were impressive.
"They did an amazing job," she said. "The tour manager was very impressed with their professionalism and attitude and I hope they will invite us back for more performances."
Adding to the school’s accolades, a further three students have been picked to film a new quiz show, with presenters Sam and Mark, for the CBBC show Copycats. Several students have also been invited to apply for the new TV quiz show BEN10 Ultimate Challenge to be featured on Cartoon Network.
Added Jodie: "I am so proud of all of them. The school is gaining a really good reputation and the experience for these youngsters is fantastic."
