CAR owners are being reminded not leave valuable items in their vehicles.
The warning comes after four cars were broken into in Wotton-under-Edge in the early hours of this morning Tuesday, May 22.
The cars, parked in Lisle Place and Merlin Haven, were broken into between 3am and 4.30am and two sat navs and loose change were stolen.
At around 4.30am a local resident reported seeing a man breaking into a car in Lisle Place, who then ran from the scene. The man has been described as 6 foot tall, of stocky build and wearing a grey hooded top. He was described as running with a limp.
Police would like to hear from anyone that saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area in the early hours of Tuesday, May 22.
Anyone with any information should call Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 35 of May 22 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
