BUDDING artists have five days left to enter Avon and Somerset Police’s Clean Slate competition.
The cut-off date for registration is Friday, May 15 and Monday 18 for submissions.
The contest is open to young people aged between 13 and 19 across South Gloucestershire, including those attending schools in Gloucestershire such as Katharine Lady Berkeley's School in Wotton.
Applicants’ artwork does not need to be new and can have been created in the past three years.
They can submit their entry at Chipping Sodbury Police Station on Friday, May 25, Saturday 26 and Monday 28 or at Castle School in Thornbury on Monday 28.
Their works will be displayed at the Octagon Gallery in Castle School between June 11 and 15. The best pieces will later be exhibited at The Royal West of England Academy in Bristol alongside what is believed to be a recently discovered early sketch by Andy Warhol, valued at £1.2 million.
A winner from each medium and an overall winner will then be selected for the grand prize.
To register, download an application form from www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/cleanslate and send it off by May 25.
