LARGE crowds are being reported in Stroud as the Olympic Torch heads for the town.

The Olympic Torch is back into convoy mode and heading to Stroud after making its way through Cirencester town centre.

Up to 8,000 people are believed to have turned out to see the torch travel through Cirencester. Roads in the town have now reopened.

Police are warning motorists road closures are in place in Stroud due to the huge crowds gathering in anticipation of the torch arriving.

The torch was due to arrive in Stroud at 4.20pm but is running slightly behind schedule.
