REVELLERS are being reminded to take care this bank holiday weekend.
With 171 road closures planned for street parties in Gloucestershire, the county’s fire service is reminding people to stay safe.
Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service (GFRS) has put together a leaflet with Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, giving safety advice to people who are organising a party.
The leaflet includes a useful reminder about leaving space for emergency services if an event includes a road closure.
It also includes general safety tips for parties and specific advice on fireworks, Chinese lanterns, barbecues and beacons.
Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Geoff Sallis, said: "The Queen’s Jubilee is a great excuse for communities to get together and celebrate this special event.
"We are delighted that so many people are holding their own street parties, but we would ask them to take five minutes to look at the advice on our website to make sure their event runs as safely and smoothly as possible."
