THE Gazette 'Comment' on Thursday, January 17, pointed out the lack of any form of 'things to do' for young people in Cam, Dursley and Uley. I say that it includes all age groups.
Rather than running a night bus once a week, which was evidently expensive and returned late at night, which would not improve the attention given to school work the next day, I strongly believe that an ice rink, built by St Modwen, is the answer for Dursley and the surrounding area.
With all the extra houses listed for building, it's even more essential and it would provide a number of attractions in one building, eg an arcade, bar and function suite - available for weddings and engagements - parties and general bookings, cafeteria and a skate shop.
This could put Dursley on the map again, as Listers did in the past.
