Wickwar Wanderers U9s (2) Vs. Wotton Rovers Tigers U9s (11) - Saturday, December 8 (Wickwar) Played off in atrocious conditions, both sides showed great resilience and did their managers proud. The Tigers elected to play the first half with the wind but struggled to take advantage, with moves breaking down in the Wickwar penalty area. Jacob McNally broke the deadlock, drilling one into the top right of the goal. Jack Cullum added two more in the first half on his way to an impressive haul of eight goals. The second half saw the Tigers working hard against the driving rain, with Cullum scoring two more after some impressive passing moves. Wickwar then pulled two back after some fancy footwork from Harry Thompson. Miles Salsbury added two more for the Tigers and unselfishly fed Cullum for a further three goals. Ollie Simm, anchoring the defence, ensured that no further goals were conceded with some brave challenges towards the end.
