Yate motorcycle racer Luke Hedger has signed for British Superbike team Jones Dorling Racing.
He will be competing in the National Superstock series where he looks to improve on his 7th place positioning in the shortened 2020 season whilst riding for CPD Kawasaki.
Hedger leaves Chris Cunnington’s team after two successful years which included winning the National UK Endurance Championship.
Hedger also sees a change in bike manufacturer as he will be aboard the new Suzuki GSXR 1000 being joined by teammates, Ashley Beech and Brent Harran in the JDR garage.
Hedger, 25, will travel with the team around the country for all 11 rounds of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship being joined by his family as himself and long term girlfriend have recently become parents.
His father will also remain by his side, working on his bike as he always has.
Luke said: “I am mega happy to be joining Jones Dorling Racing for the 2021 season.
“I can’t thank them enough for giving me this opportunity and giving me the best package they can offer.
“I can’t wait to get started and get some laps in on the new bike.
“Also a big shout out to all my sponsors and supporters and the biggest supporter my dad has kept me going through my whole career.
“I’d also like to take this time to thank my old team CPD Kawasaki for the last two years and wish them all the best.”
JDR team manager Tom Jones said: “Myself and my dad Chris who runs the team are both very excited for the upcoming season.
“Having a strong three rider lineup in Luke, Ash and Brent all in the same class provides us with some great challenges, as all three are more than capable of being on that top step.
We’ve kept a close eye on Luke’s career for the past couple of years in Superstock 1000 and we are pleased that we have chosen to work together.”
