Cam Bulldogs Res 2 Dursley Town Res 1 CAM opened the scoring early on in this local derby when Robert Birch chipped in after the Dursley keeper had sliced a clearance.
Dursley pressurised and it was no surprise when they scored the equaliser from a corner and one of their forwards tapped in from six yards.
They maintained the pressure and kept possession for most of the first half, but another goal proved elusive.
The second half was a scrappy affair, with both teams trying to get ahead, but the bobbly surface of the pitch thwarted efforts.
Cam made the breakthrough midway through the second period when a Pete Attwool corner gave Andy Roberts the opportunity to head home.
Dursley pressed for the equaliser and nearly snatched a goal back, only to be denied by a fine save from Chris Harris in the Cam goal.
Cam manager Jon Cruse was delighted with the result: "After last week's disappointing result against Tetbury it was nice to bounce back, and I was especially pleased with our performance in the second half against a strong Dursley side.
"The game was played in good spirits - a typical local derby."
