Gloucestershire Northern Senior League Division One Bourton Rovers 0 Sharpness 4 A SECOND-HALF brace from sub Sam Strickland ensured that sharpness moved back up to third in the table.
Despite missing the suspended Nick Grove, Mitchell Malshanskyij to work and Dave Nash, and three first half enforced substitutions The Sharks were in command throughout, and after several good chances finally took the lead on the stroke of half time, Tom Paterson heading in off the bar after a good Brad Thomas cross.
Matt Frankham (illness) Andy Webber (hamstring) and Luke Palmer (knee) all subbed during the first half, whilst Strickand, Martin Bennett and Nick Thomas all had an excellent second half.
Strickland tapped home his first after good build-up work from Thomas. Nick Thomas bundled home a third on the hour after a good run and cross from Ian Watkins.
Strickland wrapped the game up 10 minutes from time when he headed in a rebound off the keeper.
Pete Waite made his return in place of Grove and had a good game and snuffed out any threats on the Sharks goal.
The Sharks face Broadwell Amateurs in the County Cup Quarter Final on Saturday at the Vale of Berkeley College, kick-off 2pm.
