Football Stroud League Division Three Dursley Town Res 1, Berkeley Town Res 2 BERKELEY Town Reserves battled to an impressive away win against a talented Dursley Town. This local derby was a keenly contested affair and at half-time the score remained 0-0. The two teams worked hard but cancelled each other out in wet conditions.
The deadlock was broken soon after the break when the tenacious Nathan Freeman fired a left-footed effort into the bottom corner.
Berkeley doubled their lead within minutes when Ben Evans latched onto a Ross Phillips through ball and confidently stroked it into the net.
Berkeley consolidated their lead for the majority of the second half but Dursley's persistent attacks paid off when they were rewarded with a goal in the final moments of the match.
Dursley continued to press into injury time but Berkeley remained strong and held out for three important away points
