Youth Football Quedgeley U10s 1, Cam Everside U10s 0 CAM Everside were unlucky to lose this competitive game played on a surprisingly dry pitch considering the recent wet weather.
Everside played their usual passing game with Seb Perehinec and Matthew Mierzwa linking up well.
Few chances were created at either end as the Quedgeley defence held firm and made their customary long clearances and the Everside defenders Nathan Spencer and Kieran Thomas played well.
Early in the second half Everside were put under pressure and Quedgeley scored to take the lead.
Everside fought back with Mierzwa and Jake Mears almost scoring but Quedgeley held on for the win.
Cam Everside U10s 4, Avonvale U10s 2 CAM Everside won this game after being behind at half-time.
Both teams tried to play the ball around in very windy conditions and Everside scored first through Tommy Russell after some good tackling from Daniel Miles.
Avonvale equalised straight away and then took the lead after a defensive mix-up.
After half-time Everside settled down and defenders James Dykes and Leigh Simmonds had solid games with Curtis Hawley taking over in goal and Everside drew level with a deflected shot from Matthew Mierzwa.
The home side took the lead after a great cross from Russell was bundled in by Tomos Hughes and Kieran Thomas wrapped up the game with a deflected shot which deceived the visiting goalkeeper.
