* Both teams played some attractive football despite playing on a difficult pitch in blustery conditions.
> In the first half the home side started to exert their authority on the match, and created several chances.
* Eventually the pressure told when Jordan Williams latched onto a loose ball in the Gloucester penalty area, and his first shot was brilliantly cleared off the line before he knocked in the rebound.
* The hosts continued to do most of the pressing but the visitors looked dangerous on the break.
> The second half was more even with City threatening on a number of occasions and Almondsbury doing most of their attacking on the break.
Town's best chance came when Zach Gaston headed over from a perfectly delivered corner from Jack Boughton.
In the closing minutes Gloucester came very close to equalising only to be > thwarted by an outstanding save from goalkeeper James Hathway.
