To all captains: The TBA trophy will be awarded this year for the highest score without a spare. If you have a player with 65 or over contact Steve Tilley.
In Division Four Duty Free picked up their first away win since October as they took advantage of a slow start by Duty Free. Hollie Aldridge skittled steadily for her 52 while team-mate Sandra Bees started off with a 12 spare only to follow it with a beaver. For the home side Dave Watts finished with a flourish with 13 and nine for his top score.
Guys and Dolls pushed themselves upwards with a home win over the Wotsits. In a game hallmarked by some solid skittles from the home side they ground out a win against slightly below par Wotsits. Pete Hatton picked up his fourth spare of the season for Guys and Dolls while Brian Gale continued his good recent form with 59 without a spare.
In Division Five the Ancient Mariners' bandwagon rolls on with a comfortable home win over the Bangers. With a home match against the Dominoes this week they still hold a chance of promotion. However the big match will be the Wannabees v Dominoes in the last week of the season.
In Division Six a full strength BA Rangers side made short work of the Tactical Twits, with 176 pins in the first three legs including a 64 leg without a spare they were never really troubled. Ian Wherrett made the most of his years on the skittle alley with 61 without a spare for the Twits.
The Casuals scored an excellent 451 at the Mariners including a 67 from Justine Hopkins starting and finishing with 15 spares. All this was a bit much for the Playmates but Dave Bird skittled steadily for his 54.
