IT was a mixed bag of results from Thornbury Hockey Club last weekend with only the men's and ladies' first teams playing.
Having already been crowned champions, Thornbury Ladies continued to finish their season strongly as they put seven past Wotton 2s.
The league's top scorer Coz Deas scored yet another hat-trick with Vicky Ball grabbing a brace and Esther Jenkinson and Sophia Vizard completing the scoring for Thornbury.
Mandy McGarry was outstading in the defence whilst Ella Clark and Jo Deas were effective in midfield.
The team have a weekend off on Saurday before their final league fixture with Hantham on April 1.
As for the men's team, it was not quite the result they were after but an encouraging performance nonetheless against league champions Westbury Utd Banks 3s.
The teams were level at 2-2 at half-time but fitness proved the deciding factor as Westbury scored two more goals in the second period to secure a 4-2 victory.
Sam Amos continued his good goalscoring form to net the first for Thornbury, whilst captain Pardip Bhogal converted a penalty stroke to score the other.
Old Bristolians Development team visit Castle School on Saturday at 10AM.
