STONE will be without frontline seam bowlers Alan Sherman and Peter Lavis when they travel to Dumbleton this weekend.
They have struggled without captain Lavis in the past, who misses out to attend his brother's wedding.
Miles Palmer will captain the side in his absence, and Lavis believes Stone will go into the game with nothing to lose.
He said: "We've got nothing to lose at Dumbleton. They're a good side, but you never know, we could come away with something.
"We'll look to bat well, get a good total and a few batting points and go from there.
"We do struggle away from home, but the boys like playing at Dumbleton."
Stone will be looking to get a result after being frustrated by the weather last weekend against Woodmancote in a game that Lavis believes they were on course to win.
They were set a target of 239 from 45 overs and were 43-0 from their first ten overs before the match was abandoned due to torrential rain.
Woodmancote, who lie one place off the bottom of the Gloucester division, made 238-7 as Rich Staff top scored with 71, Raja Khan made 38 and Ross Canstantine hit 46 not out.
There were four run-outs in the innings, while Lavis, Ian Hall, and Trevor Burley shared a wicket apiece.
Darren Turl (25*) and Palmer (15*) got Stone's reply off to a good start before play stopped.
Lavis said: "Darren and Miles were batting quite well and we thought we would get them.
"Full credit to Woodmancote, they tried to get the game played when it was pouring down but when we started getting on with it, it was too dangerous."
Stone's 2nd team match ended similarly as they were 5-1 before the match was abandoned. Woodmancote seconds had set them a target of 188.
In the Gloucestershire / Wiltshire division, Rockhampton's match at Marshfield was cancelled. The reverse second team fixture was abandoned after Marshfield made 229-5 in their innings.
Rockhampton first team travel to Lydney this Saturday.
