ULEY-BASED Andy Davis became the new British 15-metre gliding champion - 18 years after he last won the title.
The former World gliding champion was one of 47 pilots taking part in a ten-day competition at Husband Bosworth, Leicestershire, which ended on Sunday.
A Frenchman, L Bouderlique, came first, but second-placed Davis, won the British title.
He is a member of Bristol and Gloucestershire Gliding Club at Nympsfield, where he owns a share in a single-seat Discus 2a.
