Table Tennis is booming across Stroud.
Stroud Table Tennis Club is getting record attendances at its Saturday all-age community sessions at Stratford Park Leisure with 14 tables in use.
Adult sessions on Thursday afternoons are also very popular.
Nailsworth Phoenix Table Tennis Club is also seeing increased activity and have recently added daytime adult sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays to their regular evening sessions.
A major program of events is planned for 2024, some of which are already underway.
STTC has two teams in the National Cadet League taking place at SGS College in Bristol.
The Table Tennis England (TTE) program for 7–11-year-olds known as TT Kidz is once again taking place in many venues around the district including Nailsworth Subscription Rooms, Katharine Lady Berkeley School, Thomas Keble School, Stratford Park Leisure Centre and Sir William Romney’s School and Deer Park School with more to follow.
The Stroud Junior League begins in April at Stratford Park Leisure Centre.
The Annual Stroud & District Closed Junior Tournament returns to Wycliffe College in June.
New after-school clubs and new junior evening sessions are being planned across the district.
A Level 1 coaching course is coming up in Nailsworth starting in May and a Level 2 course starts in Bristol in July
