ALMONDSBURY TOWN’S title dreams finally came to an end as they were held at Hook Norton.
They remain in third-place but can no longer mathematically win the league after their run of ten consecutive victories was halted.
They took the lead on 22 minutes when Brad Andrews supplied the through-ball, and Adam Cole found the net from just inside the box with a superb finish.
Lee Bridson’s error allowed Peter Vaughan to equalise midway through the first half and they went in front early in the second through Vaughan again.
After Cole was upended in the box for the second time in the game, the official pointed to the spot. Kane Ingram converted the penalty giving the keeper no chance with 22 minutes to go.
