THORNBURY'S Anthony Ireland made the most of his recall yesterday as he helped Gloucestershire take charge against Leicestershire. The Zimbabwean seamer took six wickets for just 31 runs as the county bowled Leicestershire out for 133 in County Championship Division Two.
Amazingly, Leicestershire made a good start to their first innings and were 83-0 at one stage at Bristol.
Gloucestershire didn't make a great start to their innings though as 14 wickets fell throughout day one.
Kadeer Ali (3), Hamish Marshall (0) and Will Porterfield (12) all fell early as they were reduced to 20-3.
However, captain Alex Gidman led a recovery and finished the day on 34 not out with his side on 75-4.
