FOREST GREEN expect to have one of the best playing surfaces in in the Blue Square Premier next season - after drafting in the same company that re-laid Wembley’s pitch last month.
Premier Pitches headed straight from the national stadium to the New Lawn to perform renovation works under the supervision of the Nailsworth club’s head groundsman, Matt Rainey.
“I am delighted with the support from the directors, despite these difficult times,” said Rainey.
“After an 85-game season, getting onto the pitch as soon as the last ball was kicked will ensure high standards are maintained to deliver a quality surface for Jim Harvey’s side.”
