CAM returned to winning ways after a return to form for strike bowler Eddie Rendall although another batting collapse didn’t help their cause.

After being asked to bat on a greener wicket than normal, Cam lost Scott Kalus and Adam Holloway very early on.

Pete Hall and Ben Williams steadied the ship with the latter finding the boundary regularly.

Hall was dismissed for 20 which started another batting collapse.

With the score at 80-3, Deakin supported Williams to back-to-back 50s, reaching it with an inside edge past the keeper.

Similarly to the previous week, Williams fell soon after for 63 and was quickly followed by Ryan Chandler (1), Deakin (10) and Rice (0) leaving the score 102-7.

Graeme Brown (9) and Rendall (14), held up a little resistance guiding Cam to 130-9 before both were dismissed with two overs to go.

Steve Ballard took the score past 150, finishing 17 not out.

The Civil Service innings started steadily with Ryan Chandler bowling accurately and Rendall bowling with pace and movement.

The opening wicket came when Rendall claimed Stirrup for nine. Moments after, Chandler claimed his first of two wickets after a catch from Ballard at slip.

Chandler’s second wicket came from a leg before decision.

Nath Allen chipped in with a run out from deep on the boundary removing Brown without him facing a ball.

Captain Wayman started to run out of partners and Rendall returned to the attack to claim another two wickets leaving the score 86-7.

Ballard supported Rice without much joy, whereas Rice managed to claim the remaining three wickets for eight runs. Civil Service were all out for 102, earning Cam 20 points and a push up the table.
