BRITAIN’S rising star Adam Gould had a Manx International with an unfortunate sting in the tail for the Thornbury driver.

Gould, together with Seb Marshall in the Pirelli/Teg Sport mounted Subaru Impreza N14 got off to a solid start on the bumpy tarmac roads of the Isle of Man in round four of the British Rally Championship. Given Gould’s lack of tarmac experience he’d climbed up to an excellent fourth overall end of day one. This was consolidated during day two in difficult conditions until stage 18, just two from the end, when Gould rolled out of the event, bringing to an end what had been an excellent drive. The next scheduled event is the Ulster International on August 21.
