YATE’S Pauline Gullick returned to the co-driving seat on last weekend’s Pro-Art Signs Swansea Bay National Rally alongside John Lloyd in his Ford Focus WRC, writes Paul Willetts.
Gullick, standing in for Adrian Cavenagh having taken on the team co-ordinators role this year, was really looking forward to getting back in the car.
Sixty miles of classic stages over Resolven, Rhondda, Rheola and the Walters Arena Complex lay ahead. The stages were slippery after heavy rain on Friday but the duo had a terrific trouble free run to net sixth overall, first in class. “We’ve had a really good day, excellent stages and we’ve won our class. It was nice to be back in the car” said Gullick.
The event was won by Steve Perez / Paul Spooner in a Ford Focus 06 WRC.
