BRISTOL CITY defender Christian Ribeiro has been named in Wales Under-21 squad to face Hungary at Wrexham on August 12.
The 19-year-old, who grew up in Berkeley, has just returned from a cruciate ligament injury which kept him out of all of last season's campaign.
But City boss Gary Johnson has told the Wales Under-21 manager, Brian Flynn, that the former Marling student has impressed since his return from injury.
Flynn said: "Riberio is a very unlucky lad, he suffered a serious injury on his debut for Bristol City, but he has worked really hard to get back to fitness.
"His manager Gary Johnson tells me the lad has shown a great attitude and he deserves another chance with the under-21s. He can play at right-back and centre-half so he gives us good options."
