FOREST GREEN’S third round FA Cup tie against Notts County has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.
The game was called off this morning. Notts County Executive Chairman, Peter Trembling, said: "I would like to thank all the groundman for their sterling effort the past 36 hours. Unfortunately we were beaten by the elements."
It has been confirmed by the Football Association that the re-arranged tie will be played at Meadow Lane on Tuesday, January 12, 7.45pm. Any tickets issued for the match are still valid and should be retained for the new date. Forest Green and Notts County will know their potential fourth round opponents when they meet as the FA Cup draw takes place this afternoon. Should a replay be necessary then this will take place at The New Lawn on Tuesday, January 19, 7.45pm. As a consequence of this, Forest Green Rovers' scheduled Blue Square Premier fixture away at Salisbury has been popstponed and a new date will be notified when this is set.
