FORMER Forest Green loan striker Sean Rigg is looking to remain on loan at Port Vale until the end of the season.

Wotton-under-Edge based Rigg first moved to Vale Park in November but returned to his parent club Bristol Rovers last week.

But the 21-year-old is expected to re-sign for Vale until the end of the season and hopes to impress boss Micky Adams to earn a permanent deal or attract interest from other clubs.

Rigg netted seven goals while on loan at Forest Green earlier this season but is glad to be plying his trade again in the league, where he scored on his first start for Vale in the 2-1 victory over Grimsby.

He said: "I had a really enjoyable time down there (at Forest Green) and it was good to be starting games.

"But I want to be playing league football, and that's why it was a big boost when Vale came in for me."
