BRISTOL CITY were without a game at the weekend after their 3rd Round FA Cup tie at home to Cardiff City was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
The game has been rearranged for Tuesday 12th January (7.45pm).
On Saturday City travel to Crystal Palace (3pm) for what is sure to be a bit of a grudge match following the controversy of the game earlier in the season when Crystal Palace infamously had a goal disallowed for reasons that to this day remain unknown.
The January transfer window is now upon us and Chairman Steve Lansdown has tried to play down expectations of any new players coming in.
Lansdown implied that players would have to be moved on first to create space in an already large squad.
One player that has already moved on is manager’s son Lee Johnson who has joined Derby County on a month’s loan.
Tellingly however, Johnson was allowed to play in County’s FA Cup tie meaning he would be cup tied if returning to City. It would therefore be my guess that father Gary has decided Lee is surplus to requirements and will be moving on in the summer.
I am still holding out hope that we will bring in a left sided midfielder but Lansdown’s cautious words haven’t filled me with confidence.
