HEAVY snowfall and the continuing freezing conditions are causing havoc to this weekend’s sport schedule.
All Hellenic League and County League games have already been postponed and Hallen and Almondsbury UWE’s games in the Toolstation Western League have also fallen foul to the weather.
All three of Thornbury’s rugby teams have had their games cancelled and decisions to call the rest of the matches around the county off seem to be a formality.
Yate Town’s game at Gosport Borough is yet to be postponed but should be considered highly unlikely to go ahead.
There are already fears that Forest Green’s third round FA Cup tie at Notts County on Tuesday will have to be rearranged again after the League Two side postponed their fixture against Macclesfield Town, which was scheduled for tomorrow, and more snow is expected early next week.
Let the gazette know if your team manages to beat the big freeze and send pictures of how the snow has caused havoc at your local club to gazettesport@dursleygazette.co.uk
