JONATHAN SMITH is available for Forest Green after serving a one-match ban and is likely to replace cup-tied Craig Rocastle for tonight’s FA Cup third round trip to Notts County (7.45pm).
Midfielder Smith was set to miss the tie through suspension after picking up his fifth booking of the season against Tamworth on December 28.
But the weather has helped with the game at the high-flying League Two side twice failing to beat the freeze.
Smith served his one match suspension against Gateshead on Saturday giving him the all clear tonight. He is set to be partnered by Dave Brown, who impressed as a second half substitute against Gateshead.
"It’s a big boost to have Jonathan back and David was outstanding on Saturday," said Hockaday.
Rovers are the only non-league club still surviving in the FA Cup. Any replay would take place on Saturday at the New Lawn.
The prize for the winners is a home tie with Premier League Wigan on Saturday.
