SLIMBRIDGE face a crunch clash on Saturday when they meet promotion rivals Cheltenham Saracens at Wisloe Road (3pm).

James Cole’s side have not played in the league since they drew 1-1 with Tytherington Rocks on December 12 due to the big freeze.

They are currently second in Hellenic League Division One West, one point behind league leaders Purton, who have a game in hand, and six points ahead of Saracens having played the same number of games.

Slimbridge’s Joe Tustain will come up against his former club, who he left to make the move down the M5 earlier this season.

The County League has also not been able to get the new year underway due to the severe winter conditions.

Berkeley Town have endured seven postponements in a row having not played since Novemer 21, but they are due to visit local rivals Brimscombe and Thrupp this Saturday.

Kingswood, looking to build on four points in their last two games, face a difficult test at home to Highridge United.
