YATE TOWN suffered a sickening last minute defeat at Andover yesterday as their miserable run on the road continued.
Tom Gooding scored a 90th minute winner for the home side leaves Yate with just five points from eight away games this season and ended their six-match unbeaten run.
After an uneventful first half, Yate goalkeeper Josh Dempsey was called into action after the break, saving three goal-bound efforts.
Andover’s winner came from a route one move as Gooding latched onto a long ball to hit a low drive in off the inside of the post.
Yate’s game at AFC Totton on Tuesday night has been postponed as the Southern League high-flyers have a Hampshire Senior Cup clash against Bournemouth Poppies.
Bridgwater Town are the visitors to Lodge Road on Saturday, January 30.
