A nicely poised opening game of the season between local rivals Frampton and Stone was brought to a halt by heavy rain.
Frampton required 73 to win with 24 overs to go and six wickets in hand on a bowler friendly pitch before the heavens opened.
Stone made a good start after being put into bat with Trevor Burley hitting 48 and Darren Turl making 28, but a flurry of wickets pegged them back after they had reached 60 without loss.
Dan Halsey was the chief destroyer for Frampton, taking 3-11 from his 12 overs, seven of which were maidens.
Stone skipper Pete Lavis (2-30) took two wickets in his opening two overs as Frampton’s chase got off to a poor start and fellow opening bowler Charlie Viney took 2-9 off his ten overs.
Dan Huxstep top-scored with 22 for Frampton with Halsey hitting 20 to get them back in the game before they were hit by the weather.
Lavis said: “I was a little bit disappointed to finish the game. It could have gone either way.”
