COALPIT HEATH are set to test themselves against a team of current and ex-professional footballers and other local celebrities on Saturday (3.30pm).
Spectators will be able to see ex-Bristol Rovers players Steve Elliott, Lee Archer, Andy Gurney and Andy Tillson, and ex-Bristol City and Cheltenham midfielder Frankie Artus in action alongside Bristol-born DJ Roni Size and broadcaster Jed Pitman.
The game is part of the club’s festival of football in aid of Cancer Research UK over the weekend, which also includes a tournament for local youth teams.
Family entertainment includes a barbecue, hog roast, bar, bouncy castles, inflatable slides and more. The entry fee for the celebrity match is £2.50 at Colony Farm on Hortham Lane in Almondsbury.
