Filton College’s Bristol Academy Women’s Football Club (BAWFC) are looking to cause a shock in the Women’s FA Cup Final this Saturday when they take on Arsenal at Coventry City’s Ricoh Arena.

Incredibly, Arsenal are seeking their 11th Women’s Cup crown while, in contrast, Bristol will be looking to lift the cup for the first time.

These two sides have met in this competition three times before, each time at the semi-final stage - and each time Arsenal ran out victorious, en route to glory.

This is Bristol’s first appearance at this stage of The FA Women’s Cup.

“It’s great to be in this final,” said Bristol forward Ann-Marie Heatherson.

“Getting to this final has showed the sort of side we have grown into and what a good side we can be on our day.

“We are playing really well, we are scoring goals and we are creating a lot of chances. Hopefully we can keep that going against Arsenal.”

The match looks set to be an exciting battle after Arsenal only managed a 2-2 draw when they travelled to Bristol for an extremely tense and challenging match as part of the new Women’s FA Super League recently.

Tickets are still available for the game which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

For local supporters, tickets and places on coaches can be bought directly from Filton College’s WISE Campus for £13 per person, which includes travel and entry to the match. Coaches will leave at 9am and will return at 7pm.
