DURSLEY archer Kieran Slater has been selected to shoot for Great Britain cadettes at the Europa Cup for the second year in a row. He came top at the selection shoot for cadettes - for archers up to 17-years-old - at Lilleshall over the Easter break and is practicing hard for the event in Cyprus in July while also revising for his AS exams. Slater, who shoots for the Bowmen of Minchinhampton, is aiming to get to the World Championships, which are being held in Poland in August.
The selection shoot for that is being held on June 11/12 at a tournament at East Molesey in Surrey with the scores from the first selection shoot being carried forward.
