Chipping Sodbury Tang Soo Do club won numerous trophies at the National Championships in Birmingham.
With approximately 300 competitors from around the country converging on the venue to compete, the small club from Chipping Sodbury impressed in all three disciplines – weapons, forms and fighting. In all, 66 trophies had been won in individual events, but Chipping Sodbury didn’t stop there as they managed first and third in the junior belt team event and third in the senior belt team event. Instructor Paul Townsley said: “I’m very proud of all the students with ages ranging from nine to 49, and impressed with the ability that was shown on the day.”
The club is always looking to welcome new members. Child and adult classes are held at St Johns Mead School, Chipping Sodbury, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
