STONE suffered their first defeat of the season at Gloucester AIW.
The visitors were put into bat and only Pete Lavis made a significant contribution, hitting 66 before being run out.
Peter Booth made 24, while Ian Hall finished unbeaten on 14 to boost Stone’s total.
Abubaker Siddiq Saleh took 4-58 for the hosts and then scored 62 not out to guide them over the line with eight balls remaining.
Trevor Burley enjoyed most of Stone’s success, taking four middle order wickets for 45 runs off his ten overs.
Hall grabbed two wickets for 39 runs, while Charlie Viney finished on 1-25 but it wasn’t enough for Stone, who remain top of the table.
Stone are at home to third-placed Shurdington on Saturday.
