SCOTT Bartlett has tipped former Swindon Town midfielder Chris Allen to make an impact at Forest Green next season.
Allen, 22, initially struggled to make his mark at the New Lawn following his switch from Southern League Premier side Swindon Supermarine, but an impressive run of form at the back-end of the season saw boss Dave Hockaday tie him up on a one-year deal.
Rovers player-coach Bartlett said: “Chris had to be patient last season, but he oozes ability and technique. I have no doubt he will do really well.”
Rovers now have 12 players signed on.
Meanwhile, Rovers may possibly add two more fixtures to their pre-season build up.
Operations director Colin Peake said:”We hope to have one further home fixture, which will be dependant on the progression of the pitch and the availability of a visiting club and one further away fixture, again dependant on Football League opening day fixture schedules, which will be known by June 17.
Pre-season schedule: Saturday, July 16 (A) Frome Town 3pm, Tuesday, July 19 (A) Shortwood United 7.30pm, Tuesday, July 26 (H) Bristol City 7.45pm, Saturday, July 30 (H) Hereford United 3pm, Monday, August 1 (A), Cirencester Town 7.30pm, Wednesday, August 3 (A) Slimbridge 7.30pm.
