Rockhampton found the form that saw them push the international stars of the Lashings in the previous week as they beat Stroud.
The visitors had no hesitation in opting to bat on a good looking track at the Boundary Field.
Opening bowlers Michael Beard and Willliam Cartlidge were extremely unlucky to go wicketless, both bowling tight hostile spells to put Stroud on the back foot.
As it was, James Hancox picked up the opeing wicket with his first ball, trapping Luke Bennyworth (17) lbw.
Sam Warner managed to pass 50 before he was dismissed by Guy Brothwood, who along with leg-spinner Charles Turrell (0-35) was returning from Cheltenham College to bolster the Rockhampton ranks.
The spin trio put the shackles on Stroud and Turrell was unlucky to see a couple of catches go down off his bowling.
Brothwood and Hancox (15-3- 46-2) both kept the Rams on top, with wickets falling regularly.
When Jack Spence (1-18) entered to dismiss the in-form Mark Bryan for 48, a combination of good run outs from Simon Hore and Sam Phelps and more fine bowling from Brothwood (10-1-4-50-4) saw Stroud stumble to 203 all out.
Rockhampton’s reply did not get off to the ideal start when Beard fell to Will Roberts early (1-23) on, but Matt Tyler continued his fine form this season and found a willing partner in Brothwood.
Tyler punished any width and soon cruised past the half-century mark.
Brothwood was slightly more circumspect but equally adept at putting away the bad ball.
Stroud’s bowlers toiled on a good pitch and it soon become apparent that their score was nowhere near enough.
Tyler fell short of a second century this season as he was dismissed lbw for 96 by Ben Morgan (1-40).
Brothwood (64*) and William Tyler had no trouble in easing Rockhampton over the finishing line, however, as they reached 205 in the 36th over.
Rockhampton travel to bottom side Trowbridge this Saturday in high spirits.
