FOREST Green boss David Hockaday has moved swiftly to negate Ross Dyer's switch to Mansfield Town by swooping for former Forest Green duo Charlie Griffin and James Norwood.
Experienced striker Griffin, 31, returns to the New Lawn for a third spell after moving from Stevenage, whilst speedy winger Norwood, 20, rejoins from Exeter City, following a loan spell at Rovers last season.
"I am delighted to sign Charlie," said Hockaday.
"He is vastly experienced, a big personality in the dressing room and has a great goalscoring record at this level.
"I am looking to add five or six players of his calibre to make a difference to the group I already have."
Hockaday feels the talented Norwood is now in a good place to showcase his undoubted talent, which saw him score two goals in 11 appearances.
He said: "I had an honest and open meeting with James Norwood and his agent.
"James has grown up and is in a good place. I have signed a great athlete, who is good in the air and can score goals."
Jared Hodgkiss has also agreed a new deal.
