STINCHCOMBE hill golfers Tom Workman and Mark Pitcher both enjoyed success at the week-long South Western Counties Golf Association Championships.
The Championships bring together the top amateur golfers from six counties: Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire.
This year the venue was Saunton in north Devon.
Gloucestershire county champion Workman kept up his good run of form by taking four-and-a-half points from eight games, while Pitcher enjoyed a slightly better return with four points from seven, helping Gloucestershire to finish third in the table.
However, neither could sustain a challenge in the individual strokeplay event, with Workman best placed of the two in 26th.
