OLDLANDS were replaced by Corse and Staunton at the top of the table after suffering defeat at the hands of their title rivals.
With the significant rain of the preceding days the toss was always going to be a major factor at Abwell and the home side found themselves invited to bat first on a very damp and bowler friendly wicket.
From 16-3 it was always going to be a long way back but with a concerted effort down the order and the most significant contributions coming from Mike Colborn (36) and Jason Savage (31) Oldlands at least gave themselves a total to bowl at.
However, with the wicket drying out and becoming much easier to bat on 133 was always going to be short of a really challenging score This proved to be the case, as 70 from opener Paul Tyrer led the visitors to what was ultimately a fairly comfortable victory.
