Dursley Town have named Andy Smith as their new first team manager.
Smith will be assisted by Chris Curtis and Rich Gillingham.
Dursley chairman Neil Sharp said: “This is a really positive step for the club, with Andy and Chris being very successful with the reserve team last season.
“The young players especially responded well to their brand of management, and with Rich joining them this will only strengthen the management team. I am confident that this is the correct appointment and that together we can move the club forward.”
In further positive news, Dave Cotterell has agreed to help the club with pre-season training.
Smith’s appointment leaves a vacancy with the reserve team, and anyone interested in managing them in Stroud League Division One next season is asked to contact Neil Sharp on 07860 556374.
Paul Blower will remain in charge of the thirds after leading them to a comfortable mid-table placing in Stroud League Division Five last season.
The club will begin pre-season training at the Rec on Tuesday, July 5 at 6.30pm, with all existing, new or returning players very welcome.
Dursley will be holding their annual six-a-side tournament at the Rec this Sunday (July 3) at 10am.
If anyone would like to enter a team, there are a few remaining places available. Contact Don Small on 07713 505540 for more details.
