THORNBURY judoka Sally Conway is looking to book her place at London 2012 by winning the British Open in Crawley this weekend.
Conway is in pole position to represent Great Britain in the -70kg category at the Olympics, but wants to make sure by winning the competition which could go a long way to deciding who makes the squad when it’s announced next week.
Conway, who finished seventh at the European Championships in Russia two weeks ago, said: “I’m hoping I’ve done enough already to be selected, but if I win the tournament that will secure my place.”
